The RK3588S AI Edge Gateway is a compact and energy-efficient edge computing platform designed for artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, and multimedia processing. Built on the Rockchip RK3588S processor, it combines quad Cortex‑A76 and quad Cortex‑A55 cores running up to 2.4 GHz, delivering strong computing performance while maintaining low power consumption. With an integrated 6 TOPS NPU, the gateway enables real-time AI inference directly at the edge, reducing latency and optimizing bandwidth usage.
Designed for AI and visual workloads, the RK3588S supports advanced graphics and video capabilities, including 8K video encoding and 10‑bit decoding, as well as high-quality image and media processing. Support for HDMI 2.1 and USB‑C display output enables dual-display configurations and high-resolution visuals up to 8K@60Hz, making the device suitable for machine vision systems, AI-powered HMIs, smart kiosks, and multimedia edge applications.
The gateway offers a well-balanced set of connectivity options for modern edge deployments. Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth, and multiple USB interfaces enable seamless integration into both wired and wireless environments. While keeping a compact footprint, it supports flexible GPIO expansion and internal storage options, allowing system designers to tailor the platform to specific application requirements.
