How to customize the FITLET2
There are over 1000 different ways to customize the FITLET2. You can also request additional customizations such as flashing, software support, housing modifications, and more! Please follow the steps below to fully customize your FITLET2.
STEP 1: Choose a processor
The FITLET2 is available in 3 different CPUs, 2 core or 4 core. These CPUs are chosen due to its long availibility.

Intel Atom® x5-E3930 Processor (2 Core)
The Atom x5-E3930 is a 64-bit dual-core x86 system on a chip set introduced by Intel in early 2017. This ultra-low power MPU, which was specifically designed for the IoTs, operates at 1.3 GHz and has a TDP of 6.5 W.

Intel Atom® x-E3950 Processor (4 Core)
The Atom x7-E3950 is a 64-bit quad-core x86 system on a chip set to be introduced by Intel in early 2017. This ultra-low power MPU, which was specifically designed for the IoTs, operates at 1.6 GHz and has a TDP of 12 W.

Intel® Celeron® Processor J3455 (4 Core)
Celeron J3455 is a quad-core 64-bit x86 desktop microprocessor introduced by Intel in 2016. The chip operates at 1.5 GHz with burst frequency of 2.3 GHz and has a TDP of 10 W.
STEP 2: Determine the voltage input range
The FITLET2 model can work at a wide DC input voltage range of 9V-20V.
This range can also be extended to 9V-36V if the model is configured with the P36 option.
STEP 3: Pick memory and storage
Due to our warranty policy, its not possible to customize the FITLET2 without a RAM module. You can configure the FITLET2 up to 16 GB RAM.
The FITLET2 uses a M.2 slot for up to 512 GB storage. A deep-bottom cover is required to insert a 2.5 SATA SSD storage module for up to 2 TB.
STEP 4: Add extra function/ports
Extra requirements are implemented with an extension module integrated seamlessly into the housing. This module is called FACET-Card (Function And Connectivity Extension T-Card).

FC-SCG FACET-Card (CANBus + RS232/RS485 + GPIOs)
FC-SCG adds CANbus, RS232/RS485 serial port and general-purpose I/O
FC-SCG is a Narrow FACET-Card and includes the following socket:
M.2 E-key 2230 (usually used for WiFi adapter)
Notes:
CANbus and serial connectors are RJ45. Cables are not includedCANbus and GPIO cannot be operated simultaneously.

FC-USB FACET-Card (4x USB)
FC-USB adds 4 USB2 ports to fitlet2 for a total of 8 ports (2x USB3 + 6x USB2, all type-A connector)
FC-USB has an M.2 key-E socket, normally used for a Wi-Fi adapter.

Does not affect M.2 SSD (M.2 SSD 2260 can be installed with FC-M2LAN)

FC-PCI FACET-Card (miniPCIe + SIM for 3G/4G modem)
FC-PCI has mini-PCIe socket (with connected SIM-card socket) + E-Key M.2 socket + M-Key M.2 socket 2280/2260
The common use case is for installing cellular modem + WiFi + M.2 SATA SSD. Note that each of these devices has to be purchased separately.
However, other miniPCIe / M.2 cards can be installed.
Notes:
FACET occupies both M.2 sockets of the SBC so it is not possible to install two storage devices or two WiFi cards.

FC-M2LAN FACET-Card (2x Gbit Ethernet)
FC-M2LAN adds dual Gbit Ethernet ports to fitlet2 for a total of 4 ports. Ethernet controllers: Intel I211.
Notes:
Does not affect M.2 SSD (M.2 SSD 2260 can be installed with FC-M2LAN)
Cannot be installed together with internal WiFi.

STEP 5: Pre-installed operating system
The FITLET2 supports Linux and Windows.
Windows 10 IoT Ent LTSC (or Windows 10 Enterprise Internet of Things Long Term Service Channel, to give it its full name!) also includes some technical advantages over Windows 10 OEM, that help to further improve the reliability of your embedded computer.
STEP 6: Dertermine the temprature
filtet2 is the first miniature PC by Compulab able to operate at the full industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The standard temprature range is 0°C to 50°C.
With no fans that suffer significantly lower MTBF at extreme temperatures, and an embedded CPU rated for 125°C, fitlet2 reliability is not affected by the extreme temperatures.
STEP 7: Mount the FITLET2
FITLET2 is small enough to be easily and securely mounted in nearly any IoT scenario using an VESA Mount, Dinrail or Industrial Top Cover.
